Olathe Back-to-School Outreach Program

The tradition continues. For many years AUMC has participated in the Olathe Back-to-School Outreach program. Students participating in this district wide outreach must be homeless or on the cusp of homelessness. Historically we have been asked to provide bags of groceries and $25 gift cards to local stores for the students to purchase something NEW to start the school year.

Our goal this year is to provide 45 bags of groceries and twenty gift cards.

Armed with the designated 14 item grocery list the Mission Impact team was able to fill the list for just under $25. To simplify the purchases and ensure consistency of the items purchased we are suggesting donations to cover this cost and the Team will make the purchases. (But, we are open to sharing the list if you prefer to do the shopping yourself. Just let the office know). If desired we can do the same with the gift cards (Walmart and Target are suggested for the gift cards).

Groceries and gift cards need to be delivered to Olathe Mill Creek Campus on July 29. So please make your contributions no later than Friday, July 24 so we can meet this date.
